Over the course of my 15+ year career, as a community organizer, public health and human rights field researcher, and philanthropic leader, I’ve collaborated with hundreds of social justice organizations in over 30 countries around the world, alongside philanthropic institutions, International Development Agencies, and Multilateral and Bilateral Institutions. As a senior non-profit executive, I’ve also led 2 organizations, raised over $100 million, and advanced missions centered on racial justice, queer and trans liberation, gender and reproductive equity, peace and security, international development, and human rights. I’m infinitely curious about people, and skilled at helping organizations and individuals unlock their greatest potential.
My Practice’s Services
Coaching & Capacity Building: I specialize in coaching busy, high-achieving executives and leaders, with a special focus on working with women of color, and queer, transgender, and non-binary people. Drawing from my time as a non-profit and social impact executive leader, I utilize a coaching model rooted in racial, gender, and disability justice; design thinking; sustainability; and well-being. Through our work together, I build leaders’ capacity, help leaders vision around goals and objectives, support leaders in developing their people management skills, and guide leaders in designing pathways to reaching their deepest dreams. In this area of my practice, I also provide leadership strategic advising, training, & capacity building support to organizations and small groups.
Philanthropic Advising: I've raised over $100 million, and directed 90% of those resources to grassroots organizations and movements. Utilizing my background and expertise in social justice philanthropy, I advise philanthropic institutions and wealthy individuals on how to move resources abundantly to social justice movements. Through deep listening, curiosity, compassion, and data-driven strategy, I assist institutions and individuals in gaining clarity on how to wield their wealth and resources as powerful tools in service of our collective liberation, embodying trust and accountability to movements in the process. In this area of my practice, I also design tailored political education curricula to help donors and funders build a deeper understanding and analysis of social justice issues and social justice philanthropy.
